It's best to make sure you have properly prepared for your next road trip. You should ask yourself these questions: Do I have an emergency roadside kit? A spare tires, jumper cables, cables and  a jack? Have I done a pre-check to make sure all the fluids are full and the tires look good? Do I have a full tank of gas?

It doesn't take long to do your pre-check and it can save you a huge headache in the long run. Making a list of things you should bring on your trip and things that have to be done before you leave your home is a great way to stay on top of things. That way you are less likely to forget anything important.

It is important to not overwhelm yourself and add too many things to your list. Just add the important stuff. It is also a good idea to bring your car in to our service center to do a pre-road-trip check-up. Here are a few tips to get you started:

1. Check your fluids, which include oil, brake fluid, power steering, transmission and more

2. Look at your belts and hoses as well as your wipers and replace as needed

3. Do a tire check. Be sure that you inflate them to the recommended  pressure and more importantly make sure that you do not have too much air. Your tread should still have some grip!

4. Play with those electronics. Do your brake lights, horns and turn signals work properly?

5. Confirm that your battery is in good condition with no corrosion and that the cables are secured tight.

Other items that are great to have on hand include a map or GPS, cellphone, phone charger, flashlight, first aid kit, and tools. We all love a good road trip, but every now and then we can hit a snag. Don't let them get you down. Get prepared so that you can enjoy your time with friends or family! We hope this was helpful to you and wish you well!
