Lincoln Motor Company’s latest technology includes Heads-Up
Display (HUD) in the Lincoln Continental.
This cutting-edge innovation allows the driver to view the instrument
panel on the windshield rather than on the console cluster. Through Digital Light Processing, HUD
provides a crystal clear resolution and unique experience for the Continental
owner.
Texas Instruments came up with this technology after 5 years of extensive research. McDavid Lincoln Product Specialists, David Wallace and Adolfo Mendoza, took part in an HUD Showcase where over 180 Texas Instruments employees got to see their hard work in action. Two Lincoln Continentals stole the show when David and Adolfo presented the HUD technology to the crowd. Afterwards, 40+ employees at a time stood in line (in almost 100 degree Texas heat) to get an up-close and personal view of the vehicles. To make things interesting, McDavid Lincoln offered a give-away that includes a 24-hour extended test drive and $100 dinner certificate. Close to 100 employees signed up, and one of them will be the lucky winner.
The best part of the day was when the Revel Audio System was
played. A hush was heard over the crowd
as they were treated to the sonic signature, exclusive to Lincoln.
Everyone present was impressed (and pleasantly surprised) by what they saw during the presentation of our Lincoln Continental. From their own HUD feature to the overall aesthetics of the Lincoln Black Label Continental. We expect to receive a visit by several of them in the very near future!
Thanks to David and Adolfo for their efforts on this project
– we know they’ll pay off!
